What payment methods do you accept?
We accept payments through PayPal and all major credit and debit cards. If not paying by PayPal please select Guest Checkout. Payments will be debited from your account at the time of placing your order online.
How long will my delivery take?
Unless advised otherwise, your order will be dispatched approximately 2 - 3 weeks prior to your event date, this is to ensure your chocolates will be in their optimun condition. Deliveries are usually 2 - 4 working days from dispatch date. N.B this does not include the order processing time - please read the information supplied on our required standard lead times.
The standard delivery charge for mainland UK is just £5.95, this is for a premium Tracked and Signed For courier service.
When should I place an order for my table favour gifts?
We would advise our customers to place an order well in advance of the wedding or event date. To accommodate the order processing, stock availability plus the delivery schedule, we would suggest the sooner the better, however, preferably no later than 10-14 working days (e.g. Monday – Friday) prior to your wedding or event.
What happens if I miss my delivery?
You will receive a card with contact details for re-delivery or with information of where you may pick your parcel up from, this is usually the local Royal Mail sorting office or the courier’s depot.
Where do you deliver to?
We currently only deliver to mainland UK at present and are unable to deliver to PO Box or BFPO addresses.
Is there a minimum order?
Due to the nature of our business we do require a minimum quantity order - please see individual products. However, after this minimum requirement, we are then happy to precede with single numbers e.g. x 31 units.
Can I order samples?
Individual items may be purchased (excluding personalised products) ahead of the required 10 -14 days time scale but will still incur the standard £5.95 delivery charge. Please email or call us on 07456 161766 for further details.
Do you have a shop?
We do not currently have a shop. We choose to sell all of our products online, as this enables us to supply our customers a luxurious range of high quality products at very competitive prices.
How should I store the table favour gifts?
We would advise you to store your goods in the original box and packaging that it was delivered in, preferably in a cool dry area and out of the reach of any animals and little people’s hands!
Chocolate can be particularly sensitive to heat, humidity, light and strong odours therefore should always be kept in a stable environment. A constant temperature of approximately 14 – 18 C is the ideal. If too hot the chocolate may melt or disfigure, if too cold the chocolate may ‘bloom’ (the development of a white powdery surface residue).
Why should I buy from The Chocolate Favour Box?
The Chocolate Favour Box specialise in supplying luxurious table favours and chocolate gifts containing premium quality chocolate to the wedding and events industry. Ordering your favour boxes and bags from us, not only saves you money but also leaves you with some extra precious time to concentrate on all the other important aspects of planning your big day or special occasion.
Unlike many other online businesses who will only supply you with an empty flat pack, our table favour gifts are readymade, ready filled and ready to go!
What is the shelf life of the chocolates?
This will vary depending on the type of chocolate you choose. Standard milk chocolate products e.g. milk chocolate foiled hearts or Neapolitan squares, will have a shelf life of approximately 6 - 12 months, however some of our finer English truffles may only have a 3 - 6 months shelf life. How the chocolate is stored is relevant and can have a huge impact on the overall general appearance and taste.
Can I choose my own chocolates?
Yes, simply select your choice from the drop down box.
The experience we have developed along the way has given us the knowledge to identify which particular chocolates can be accommodated and best presented in the various boxes and bags. On larger orders we may occasionally be able to consider individual requests, so please feel free to call with regards to the choice of options available.
Is the chocolate nut free?
Please be aware that our chocolates (or ingredients used) may contain nuts, nut traces, gluten, wheat or egg. Even if the chocolate does not actually contain any of the above, we are not able to guarantee the possibility of cross contamination during the transportation, storage or in the manufacturing process. Therefore our products may be unsuitable for allergy suffers or for those who may have a specific food intolerance.
Where do you get the chocolate from?
Our premium quality chocolates and truffles are sourced from a selection of quality chocolatiers and distributors. We are also proud to stock a range of mouth watering fine English truffles supplied by one of our very own home grown chocolatiers as well as a growing list of other top class British suppliers.
What foil colours and fonts do you use?
Unless otherwise advised, our standard choice of foil colours would be either metallic silver or metallic gold for the printing of personalised ribbons. Text will usually be printed in a traditional clear font e.g. Arial unless a specific font is requested.
Please bear in mind when printing on a pale colour ribbon e.g. it may be more suitable to use a black foil on a cream ribbon. A gold or silver print on a light coloured ribbon may not always achieve a good enough contrast.
We would recommend no more than 2 lines of text on the personalised ribbons with a maximum of 20 characters on each line (including spaces).
Can you colour match my theme?
We at The Chocolate Favour Box are proud to be able to offer our customers a large range of unique and bespoke designs. The answer is simply yes.
Just call us on 07456 161766 and we will happily talk through with you your specific requirements. We will try our utmost to fulfil your individual requests where possible.

Why do we give wedding favours?
Historically, wedding favours date back to the wealthy European aristocrats who would present their guests with a bomboniere - a small trinket box made of crystal, porcelain and precious stones containing sugar cubes to symbolise wealth and royalty (a very expensive and precious commodity at the time). Over the centuries, this tradition evolved into the offering of 5 sugar coated Jordan almonds to represent health, wealth, happiness, fertility and long life.
These days, the emphasis is very much based on coordinating with the overall colour scheme or theme of the wedding. Today however, favours still carry the same basic sentiment of showing gratitude and thanks to those who have helped to celebrate and share your special day. Ultimately, favours are now given as a token gesture of thanks, one which your guests are sure to appreciate.
