Terms of business
Any potential business with The Chocolate Favour Box or use of our website is subject to our current terms and conditions. By entering into an agreement with us, it is deemed that the customer has read, understood and agreed to our terms and conditions as set out below. The Chocolate Favour Box reserves the right to update and amend these terms and conditions at any time so please do check back regularly for any modifications.
Delivery charges and information
The standard delivery charge for mainland UKwill be just £6.95, delivery approximately 2 -4 working days from the dispatch date. N.B this does not include the order processing time - please read the information supplied on our required standard lead times.
All deliveries will be via the Royal Mail ‘Signed For’ service or by local courier (Monday to Friday 8am – 6pm) therefore we will require accurate delivery details and an agreement that there will be someone available to accept the goods and supply a signature to confirm the delivery. We regret we are unable to specify delivery times. Any further re-delivery charges incurred, due to the unavailability of someone to accept the goods, will be the responsibility of the customer. We cannot be held responsible for actual delivery dates by either of these delivery services but we can give you an estimated delivery date. The Chocolate Favour Box is unable to accept any liability for any delays in delivery that may be outside of our control e.g. postal strikes, seasonal and bank holiday dates etc.
As all our products contain (perishable) chocolate no order will be dispatched on a Friday, this to ensure the safe arrival of your goods in optimum condition.
When ordering our products The Chocolate Favour Box recommends that you take into account fluctuations in seasonal temperature conditions (particularly in the summer months) that may affect the appearance or condition of the chocolate.
Orders for Northern Ireland, Isle of Wight, Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Highlands and Scottish Islands please contact us for a quotation. Please note that due to the nature of our business we are unable to deliver outside of the UK, to PO Box or BFPO addresses.
Cancellation and returns policy
Under the new Consumer Contracts Regulations 13th June 2014 no cancellations or returns will be considered on personalised products (unless damaged in transit) so please be sure to double check that the spelling, dates and all other relevant information given are correct before placing your order.
We take great care with our packaging, however in the unlikely event of damaged goods, we would require that you contact us in the first instance by email before consideration of a refund or exchange is possible. Only then, with our prior agreement, will we accept returns within 14 days of the original delivery date. It is advisable when returning an order to us to use recorded delivery. As most of our merchandise are handmade bespoke products it is at the discretion of The Chocolate Favour Box with regards to refunds or exchanges.
Please note that chocolate is classed as perishable goods and is therefore exempt under the new Consumer Contracts Regulations 13th June 2014.
Lead times
Due to particular busy wedding and event seasons and to ensure stock availability, we would advise our customers to place an order well in advance of the event date. Lead times of approximately 10 – 14 working days would be the ideal however we will always endeavour where possible to prioritise orders that may be required sooner.
N.B Working days are Monday – Friday excluding weekends and bank holiday dates.
For urgent orders please do contact us for an estimated dispatch date but please bear in mind it may be subject to our current production schedule.
Products and services are subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time, including after you have placed your order. In the unlikely event your order cannot be fulfilled, we will contact you to offer a suitable alternative.
Colour, design and chocolate variations
Please be aware that there may be some slight variations in colour tone from that viewed from our website due to customer’s individual monitor screen settings. Also, as our products are all individually handmade, there is also the possibility that some designs may differ slightly but we do try to describe and create our products as accurately as possible.
Occassionaly, we may also need to substitute certain chocolates options due to stock availability.
